Welcome! Make Yourself at Home...

Oh hurrah! You're here!

Now bookmark this site and don't forget about me. Because I don't want to lose touch.

Blogging for the JS was such a fun and amazing experience. Who knew that something that started off as a journalistic experiment could turn into a reliable resource for collecting all kinds of opinions for people in our age group?

Writing to and for you guys (and reading your responses) has helped me to grow as a person and shape my view of the world (thus far).

So let's keep the conversation going.

I'm taking this blog with me to Chicago, where I start a new job in a couple of weeks. It's a return to the hometown I've never lived in without needing a fake ID, so exploring and rediscovering it should provide for some fun stories.

I'll do my best to keep blogging regularly from here, if you promise to keep throwing in your two cents and e-mailing topic ideas if you're so inspired.

I know, it won't be totally the same -- you won't get a prompter from JS Online saying I've updated.

But look at the bright side -- now I can tell you without any hesitation: I believe in the bikini wax.

:o)

Good morning and congratulations on the new opportunity. As a fellow Chicagoan who straddles both the Chicago and Milwaukee worlds, (I live in the Chicago area but have a big client in Milwaukee) I'm happy you are coming home!

Yeah Vikki! I'm so glad you let us know where you were going. I'm also glad you made sure we knew you believed in the bikini wax ;) Good Luck to you and I'll be checking your blog daily-no pressure :)

Wow, what a shock it was to read in the paper this morning that you're leaving. Bet your editors were equally shocked but it sounds like a great opportunity for you (and it serves them right for sticking you on that damn "Jump" page for however long that was). So are you going to tell us exactly where you're landing in Chicago or do we have to wait and scan the Chicago papers, mags, etc. to figure it out for ourselves?

Congrats on the new gig. From one journalist to another - you're a very lucky woman!

Hi Vikki!

I left a little note on your JS entry today. *laughs* @ bikini wax. I don't know if I'm brave enough to try that! Looking forward to reading your new blog, and if this post is any indication, a slightly less censored/cautious blog at that! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving and that you have a fun weekend planned.

oh good lord, I can't believe or remember the password I just gave to get in here....yikes, what a trip. But Vikki, you've been alot of fun reading in Milwaukee, I hope the best for you here....and hope I can find my way back to Milwaukee, I'm leaving a trail of lightly induced alcohol flavored bread crumbs to find my way back...whew, I'm home...hope you are, too.

Vikki,

While it wasn't whatever suggestions I made, Im glad the blog continues...remember M, W Friday it was your resolution. Good to hear of the candor, so the less than censored plus or minus one may prove to be very interesting...

Im still just ED...until you figure out who I really am! :)
